Projected Decline in Unemployment in 2015 Won’t Lift Blacks Out of the Recession-carved Crater | 12:01 am, March 26, 2015
This report uses a unique analysis of Current Population Survey data and Local Area Unemployment Statistics program data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics to estimate state unemployment rates by race and ethnicity. It shows that while white, Hispanic, and Asian unemployment rates are hovering just above where they were at the end of 2007, African Americans are much further from a full recovery.
